#23 Is this really the end? Or just the beginning ...

Image generators were definitely my favourite step and after looking at Scully's and Simmone's blogs I am now inspired to go and look at flickr and mashups again.

I also enjoyed YouTube.

Found some of the reading tedious and had to constantly battle the urge to jump ahead.

Overall, very interesting and definitely useful.

#22 Audiobooks (or "The end is in sight ")

At NetLibrary, you'll find more than 140,000 eBooks, thousands of eAudiobooks, eJournals, subject centers and the collection development resources you need to build, manage and enhance your collection.

Lots of choices here and I may do the downloading audio thingy one day but at present I'm busy reading the traditional types.

#21 Podcasts, Smodcasts!

Found some podcasts of interest. Speedo Make Waves Podcast!
Well I am into swimming.

20 Tube Hits 4 U!

What a great little time waster! I like the Library dominos.....hey let's try it during Storytime! The pool dominoes vid. was good too and of course I had to check out some animal vids!

We could make a library promo. vid. Perhaps some little teasers re/ upcoming events!

Steppin up....no.19

Tested lots of sites but the majority were too young for my taste.

Finally staggered across this one: http://reddit.com/ read an interesting article on George Orwell. Check out Calvin & Hobbes Collection too excellent!

#18 Web-based Apps

Really liked the Zoho Show remote presentations especially the Grand Canyon....What an amazing virtual trip that was...breathtaking! Plenty to think about here.

No. 17 Playing around with PBWiki

This exercise made me feel Wiki weary. TOO MUch Info to devour at once but I think I've found some virtual friends.

No.16 Wikis

I love Wikis..........Wikis are an excellent space for collaborative group work. All of the planning and communications can be documented in the wiki rather than in emails that can easily be deleted. Everyone can make changes to the wiki.

Wee Willie Wiki runs through the space, collecting all our entries and enticing us to stay up late!!

No.15 On Library 2.0 & Web 2.0 ...

I read 3 of the 5 articles and found the article Away from the “icebergs” by Rick Anderson the least appealing and I believe he is wrong in his belief that libraries are lagging behind.

I think there is an interesting mix in Libraryland at present with the drive of Readers Promotion, Performance based Storytelling and web technologies...we've got it all going on!

No.14 Technorati

You can search for keywords in blog posts, search for entire blog posts that have been tagged with a certain keyword, or search for blogs that have been registered and tagged as whole blogs about a certain subject (like photography or libraries). Interesting!

I'm actually keen to do more image generating not searching at present and I think I'll go back and revisit Flickr too.

13.Del.icio.us

Aw...moi God! I'm up to number 13....I thought this would be a really yummy and inspiring step...sadly no scratch and sniff Choccies or cakes.

#8+9 Make life "really simple" with RSS & a newsreader

Well it's been LOTS of drinks between postings but I've now moved through steps 8 and 9 and I'm wondering how I'll ever find time to read all my feeds!
